In this 30 minutes class we focus on gentle movement and stretching. We make sure we are listening to our body and finding modifications that work for us. This class is for the person who doesn't want to sit on the floor, due to any kind of limitations in mobility. We include standing and seated postures only. Our goals are to work on stability, flexibility, mobility, stretching all our muscles and the community aspect. This class is offered Tuesday and Thursday at 4.45pm
Cost of this class for seniors (65+) is $10, you can also purchase a separate Chair Monthly pass at a discounted rate of $65. Stability is included with your pass and is offered Wednesday at 5.30pm.
Our Gentle class has the most offerings per week, is our most popular offering and has the most direction and explanation of postures, movement and muscle groups. This class is structured to focus on a mental intention, a physical practice and we work up to a peak pose, finding rest at the end of each class. Each week the physical and mental aspects change. We cycle though hips, heart, twists, stability, and finally our whole body. The intention is set each week to bring mindfulness to a part of our life and include a mental practice along with the physical. We accept and love our bodies where it is and allow for slow growth over time with consistency in attendance. Practice is the key to forward growth. Mindful and Evolve are structured similarly to Gentle. This class is offered Tuesday at 6:30p, Thursday at 5:30p and Saturday at 10am
This class is a step up from our Gentle class and adds core work and more up and down movement than our gentle class does. Each 30-minute classes allow all students to honor where you are today and grow over time. This growth comes with consistency, patience and a commitment. This class is structured identical to our Gentle class and offers opportunities to uplevel your flourishing practice. Our mindful class is for the student who wants to take their practice to the next level. This class is offered weekly on Monday at 6:15p
Deep class focuses on allowing muscles to release through active stretching held for much longer than usual. We stretch the muscle down to the facia, this class is meant to help increase your range of motion and help lubricate deeply into the muscle where it connects to the bone. In the 60-minute class you'll hold postures longer then we do in our other classes holding up to 6 minutes (3 minutes per side). This practice allows for only about 10 or 11 postures in the hour, and they are mostly fully supported on the floor with use of props. We do include on our stability week some standing. The focus of this class is to open the muscle then release it, then allow greater gain because of the time held in the pose. We then find ourselves back on the floor enjoying restful restoration at the end of class. Fridays at 5:30pm. All level accessible.
Evolve is the highest current step in our stretching classes. It is structured the same as Gentle & Mindful with more rounds of the standing sequences which means less seated postures, less warm up, less cool down, but the same breathwork and rest at the end of class. Evolve is meant to be a challenge for those who want it. This is where we evolve and grow. It's a great class for those who need and want a challenge. Evolve is Currently on hiatus, but check back for updated times.
Somatic is a 30-minute class that can be as gentle or as intense as you would like it to be. The movement is different than we are used to and a lot of it. No standing, all on the floor seated, hands and knees, and on the back. Think: Neck circles, Hip Circles, Cat/Cow with movement, figure 4 with hip circles. Arms will be used, the back will be stretched, the hips will be loosened. A lot of "close your eyes and listen to your body." No talking in this one, we will focus on deep breathing. This class is meant to help you release stored tension in the body, as one of the modalities to your overall wellness.
Sculpt is designed specifically for our studio utilizing mat Pilates, multi-muscle exercises, and other body movement to sculpt, tighten, and tone our bodies while simultaneously building our stamina. It is the ideal companion class to our other class offerings for those who want that little extra to help physically shape and define the entire body. This class is on Tuesdays at 5.30p and taught by Laura.

Each summer, studio owner Vicki, opens up her home to her members and we enjoy more than just a class. It's an experience with friends and our community. We meet when it's the perfect time and temperature. It's a wonderful way to spend an hour. After it gets too warm, we then get in the pool for a pool fitness class. Usually, this class is in the mid-morning after the sun starts shining but not too hot to enjoy. Check back next summer for this offering.
